I am committed to creating a school that knows no limits to the academic success of each student.  The following represents my personal commitment to the academic success of every student at San Jacinto Elementary School:

• Accept no limits on the learning potential of any child
• Meet the individual learning needs of each child
• Create serious classroom learning environments
• Treat students, parents, and colleagues with courtesy and respect.
• Hold students, parents, and each other to the highest standards of performance
• Collaborate with colleagues to seek and implement more effective strategies for helping each child to achieve his or her academic potential
• Do whatever it takes-go the extra mile-to ensure that each student is proficient or above in every subject

The Student Pledge

I understand that my education is very important to my future.  It will help me develop the tools I need to become a successful and productive person.  I know that my education now will prepare me for college in the future.  Because of this, I am committed to doing my best every day and being a person of good character.  In addition, I commit to:

• Being at school everyday on time unless I am ill
• Following the rules of the school
• Completing and turning in all work, including homework on time every day
• Returning letters, corrected work, and other school materials to my parents
• Doing my very best every day
• Filling out my “College Plan” and living up to it every day

Each of these responsibilities speaks to my commitment to learn and become the best student I can.

The Parent Pledge

I understand that my children’s education today is essential for their success in life.  This experience will support them to become successful and productive persons.  It will also prepare them for college if they so choose to attend.  Because of this, I am committed to carrying out my responsibilities as listed below:

• Making sure that my child is at school and on time every day unless my child is ill
• Talking to my child every night about school and praising my child often
• Checking for papers every night from school and seeing that my child completes homework and returns papers
• Seeing that my child is well rested and emotionally ready for school
• Being involved in school activities and communicating with my child’s teachers

Each of these responsibilities speaks to my commitment to support San Jacinto in order to ensure a bright future for my child.
